The World’s Most Expensive Cupcake with 24 carat Gold Leaf

Fancy a sweet treat – to look at since eating this could be more than you can digest. It’s the world’s most expensive cupcake worth a scrumptious £768.85 ($1,227.7), unveiled in London as part of National Cupcake Week, hosted by Food Network UK. Wrapped in 24 carat edible gold leaf, the cake has been flavored with Hawaiian AA tea, contains a chocolate center and a peach and champagne jam. Its butter cream comes mixed with luxury wine Chateau Yquem and is encased in a sugar drizzling and chocolate fondant made from Charbonnel et Walker chocolate. 



To top it off, is an impressive bird, perched on a leafy twig. We don’t know about taste but this expensive cupcake definitely gets top score on presentation.
