Most expensive bottle of red wine in the World!

A wine shop in the Dubai International Airport is selling what they call in the press release "the world's most expensive bottle of red wine to ever be retailed." The Le Clos wine shop in Terminal 3 is selling three Balthazars (12-liter bottles) of Château Margaux 2009 priced at $195,000 each. This is the first time the famous Bordeaux wine producers have ever bottled Balthazars, and the release refers to the 2009 vintage as "one of the best" with "wonderful concentration, finesse, balance and freshness." Château Margaux has created six Balthazars, only three of which will be on sale, all through Le Clos.

Along with 12 liters of fine wine in an oak case, Balthazar buyers will receive a first-class flight to France to visit Château Margaux. The trip will include tours of the vineyard and cellar, and a dinner hosted by managing director Paul Pontallier.

Pontallier tells Reuters in the video below the "Balthazars ... allow wine to keep almost forever in such a case so what can happen in 50 years time we don't know. We will certainly not repeat that very often. We want to keep it very very special." While this is the highest priced bottle to retail, wines have sold for higher prices at auctions, like the nine-liter 2010 Williams Selyem Westside Road Neighbors Pinot Noir that that auctioned for $205,000 earlier this year.
