$100M Penthouse at the top of the 43-story luxury building in NY

A new $100 million penthouse is rising near the United Nations — with its own private pool, revealed in this exclusive photo. The sprawling 15,597-square-foot triplex penthouse at the Norman Foster-designed 50 UN Plaza will have 14 bedrooms, 13 full bathrooms, a fireplace and 1,500 square feet of outdoor space, with a 10,000-pound stainless-steel staircase leading to the infinity-edge pool.

The penthouse will be at the top of the 43-story luxury building developed by Zeckendorf Development, of 15 Central Park West, and Eyal Ofer’s Global Holdings; it is the first residential building in the US designed by Foster + Partners.

The apartment also boasts 1,500 square feet of outdoor space and a 10,000-pound stainless steel staircase leading to an infinity pool, the New York Post reported. The building – which should be complete by December 2014 — is being developed by the Zeckendorfs as and Eyal Ofer’s Global Holdings. It is Foster’s first residential project in the country.

Prices of condos will start at $2.5 million and the building is slated for completion in December 2014.
