Lamborghini Announces the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse

The upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show will see some really awesome world debuts, one of which is the all-new Lamborghini Gallardo model known as LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. Looking very much like the LP 570-4 Super Trofeo racer and sharing a few components with it, the new model is actually a street legal vehicle meant to keep adrenaline junkies very happy.

The extensive use of lightweight materials keeps the car’s weight at only 2,954 lbs. Carbon fiber was utilized for a number of key components, such as the engine hood, the rear wing (for extra downforce), the lower section of the steering wheel, the handbrake frame, the door panels and the center console.

With a 570-horsepower V10 engine, the lightweight car can reach the 60 mph threshold in a mere 3.4 seconds. From here to 124 mph it needs only 7 more seconds. In case you were wondering, the top speed is 199 mph.

All this speed will be savored from highly comfortable carbon bucket seats with Alcantara inserts. Of course, in order to keep every driving session a perfectly safe experience, Lamborghini endowed the car with highly reliable standard production carbon-ceramic brakes.
