Luxury retail giant Dolce and Gabbana is set to launch a new perfume.
The new fragrance is for babies. The Dolce and Gabbana perfume for
babies will be alcohol free.
Any medic would consider this to be a bit twisted, as having any sort of strong smelling substances aside a newborn may cause lifelong allergies. The people at Dolce & Gabbana discard this by announcing the release of a brand new perfume designed especially for babies.
The new eau de toilette (which is, appropriately, alcohol-free) was inspired by “the softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, [and] the first smile,” according to Stefano Gabbana, one half of the label’s duo — intangible things all apparently made real with notes of honey, citrus and musk.
The fragrance for babies is meant to accentuate the baby's natural smell. Dolce and Gabbana describes the perfume's scent as 'the innocence of childhood.' Most fragrances associated with babies include the scent of powder and lotions. This fragrance aims to be different and includes notes of citrus, melon and honey. The inspiration behind the fragrance was tender moments shared with babies including a baby's first smile.
